A recently declassified intelligence report asserts that Russia purportedly acquired information indicating that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was using “heavy tranquilizers,” a disclosure that former President Barack Obama and prominent Democratic leaders reportedly deemed “extraordinarily alarming.”
This revelation regarding Clinton emerges as Fox News Digital reported earlier this week that the U.S. intelligence community did not possess direct evidence suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin intended to assist in the election of Donald Trump in 2016. Nevertheless, under the “unusual” direction of then-President Obama, officials allegedly promoted “potentially biased” or “implausible” intelligence that suggested otherwise.
The information originates from a report declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Initially prepared by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence in 2020, the report was the result of an investigation led by then-Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and is dated September 18, 2020, according to Fox.
At the time of the report’s completion, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., had taken over the committee chairmanship. The document had remained classified and was never made public until now.
Fox News Digital acquired the “fully sourced limited-access investigation report that was drafted and stored in a limited-access vault at CIA Headquarters.” The report contains some redactions, as acknowledged by Fox.
One portion of the report indicates that Putin had access to Russian intelligence, which allegedly disclosed information from the Democratic National Committee suggesting that senior Democratic leaders viewed Clinton’s health as “extraordinarily alarming.”
“As of September 2016, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service had DNC information that President Obama and Party leaders found the state of Secretary Clinton’s health to be ‘extraordinarily alarming,’ and felt it could have ‘serious negative impact’ on her election prospects,” the report states.
“The report indicated that her health information was maintained in ‘strictest secrecy,’ with even her close advisors not being fully informed,” it stated.
Furthermore, the Russan Foreign Intelligence Service purportedly possessed DNC communications revealing that “Clinton was experiencing ‘intensified psycho-emotional issues, including uncontrollable fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness.’”
According to the report, “Clinton was subjected to a daily regimen of ‘heavy tranquilizers,’ and despite her fear of losing, she remained ‘obsessed with a thirst for power,’” as reported by Fox.
Additionally, the Russians allegedly had information indicating that Clinton “suffered from ‘Type 2 diabetes, Ischemic heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.’”
Moreover, they reportedly possessed a “campaign email discussing a plan authorized by Secretary Clinton to associate Putin and Russian hackers with candidate Trump to ‘distract the American public’ from the Clinton email server controversy.’”
During a press briefing at the White House on Wednesday, Gabbard stated that there were “high-level DNC emails that provided evidence of Hillary’s, quote, psycho-emotional issues, uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness, and that then Secretary Clinton was allegedly on a daily regimen of heavy tranquilizers.”
Gabbard further remarked, “Then CIA Director Brennan and the intelligence community misrepresented intelligence and relied on questionable, substandard sources to fabricate a false narrative suggesting that Putin had a, quote unquote, ‘clear preference’ for Trump.”
“Brennan and the intelligence community misled lawmakers by citing the discredited Steele dossier to evaluate, quote unquote, ‘Russia’s plans and intentions,’ falsely implying that this dossier held intelligence value when he was aware of its discreditation. The intelligence community omitted significant intelligence and ignored or selectively quoted reliable intelligence that contradicted their assessments,” she concluded.
During her ultimately unsuccessful presidential campaign in 2016, there were several instances where Clinton’s health was questioned.
For example, at a memorial event on September 11, 2016, Clinton nearly collapsed, which heightened concerns that the candidate was struggling at a pivotal time in the campaign, as noted by various reports.
