Blake Shelton Sings His Way Through His Latest Farming Shenanigans: “I’m Planting My Seed”

I was able to free my old pal from the barn today! It’s Kubota time, people,” Shelton wrote.

The farmer Blake Shelton is back at it! As he planted seeds on his vast Oklahoma property, the country music legend once again commemorated the occasion on social media.

Sowing Seeds

In a new social media video, Shelton amusingly explains the seed-planting process to his admirers.

I was able to free my old pal from the barn today! It’s Kubota time, people. “Time for Kubota.” Shelton wrote as the little video’s caption.

In the video, the singer of “No Body” is seen riding a Kubota tractor across the fields of his ranch while mockingly singing a song that appears to be a parody of the 4 Non Blondes’ hit song, “What’s Up.”

“We’re doing it, baby,” he shouts.

Later, he sings, “I’m writing this song as I’m planting my seed.” I don’t have time to pause, and I might have just urinated.

Typical Farmer

Shelton is a well-known personality, yet his roots are still very much in his home nation. He regularly shares videos from his farm, where he grows vegetables and flowers. The last time Shelton worked on his food plots was in the fall.

“It’s Kubota time, my friends… #farming,” Shelton wrote on August 17.

“Yee haw, it’s time to get the fall food plots ready!” he exclaims in the video. “But Blake, it’s too early to be setting up your fall food plots,” are presumably the words of many wise people. “So,” I reply.

While farming, Gwen Stefani parodies

While clearing a fallen tree from his property and getting his farm ready for fall seeding, Shelton adapted parts of the lyrics to his wife Gwen Stefani’s song, “True Babe.”

Enjoying @gwenstefani’s new song “True Babe” to the utmost! even writing original lyrics! For the video, Shelton penned a caption.

He sings, “Take the truck and cut up this tree, up this tree,” throughout the video.

Blake Shelton wrapped up his Back to the Honky Tonk Tour earlier this year. The trek started on February 16 and completed on March 25 with help from Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean.

Even though Shelton’s tour may be coming to an end, he still has a few shows planned for the remainder of the year. On September 16, he will be the featured performer at Coastal Country Jam in Long Beach, California. He will also perform in Tempe, Arizona’s Boots in the Park on September 23. He will ring in the new year at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, on December 31.
