“I thought, coming into this role, that the first guy ever would be a big deal, but it really turned out being the first Jew was a big deal. And I took that as a responsibility,” he told a small crowd recently.
“I feel and felt very accountable, being the first Jewish person in this role. And with that accountability and responsibility, it meant action. The other thing that I did, with your help, was to live my faith — which is different from hers, but with her support — openly and proudly, joyfully and without fear.”

Harris got blown out by now-President-elect Donald Trump in the November election. Trump not only one a big majority of electoral votes but he also won a national majority, giving him a solid mandate. Republicans also kept the House with a small majority and retook the Senate.
Meanwhile, Teamsters President Sean O’Brien told host Tucker Carlson that Harris was arrogant and took support from organized labor for granted before her eventual loss.
During an interview on Carlon’s show, O’Brien, who addressed the Republican National Convention in August, told Carlson that Harris said his union better “get on board” and that she was going to win the election with or without the Teamsters.
“Prior to Biden dropping out of the race, around June or May, one of my vice presidents… was at an event with Vice President Harris. They’re going through the line to get a picture and she introduces herself to Vice President Harris. She says she’s on the general executive board for the Teamsters. She goes, ‘Teamsters? You better get on board. You better get on board soon,’” he said.
“That’s to my vice president, to her face. So she comes back, we have a meeting the next and she tells me this. So I call up Marty Walsh, who was the secretary of labor but he was pushing hard for us to make the endorsement. I said, “Let me ask you a question, Marty. Who does this lady think she is? If I want support from any organization I am not going to point my finger in someone’s face and say you’d better get on board or else.” That’s the attitude of this whole party,” the union chief added.
“So fast forward, she finally agrees to come after we put pressure on her. I was doing interviews all over the place saying we weren’t invited to the DNC. They haven’t accepted our invitation to some to the roundtable. Same questions, rank and file members asking questions, just like with every other candidate. And they were trying to negotiate with us, she only wants to answer three questions. Like, there are 16 questions. So she answers three of them, and on the fourth question, one of her operatives or staff slips a note in front of me, ‘This will be the last question,’” O’Brien went on.
“It was 20 minutes early from the time it was going to end. 100%. And so, you’re there trying to get our support. And her declaration on the way out was, I’m going to win with you or without you.’ She said that out loud. It was insane behavior. At that point in time, I knew she was going to lose,” he said.
It’s not clear what Harris is planning to do next, but some have speculated she is mulling two options: Running for California governor in 2026 or making another bid for the presidency in 2028.
