    Hoda Kotb\u00a0is offering a powerful message amid the ongoing search for\u00a0Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother, Nancy.<\/p>\n

    As the\u00a0search for Nancy\u00a0enters its 12th day, Savannah’s former\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0colleague shared a message of hope to her\u00a0Instagram Stories\u00a0on Thursday, Feb. 12.<\/p>\n

    <\/div>\n

    “Hope is believing that they are held, even when we cannot hold them,” Kotb, 61, posted over a white background, with the message soundtracked by James Quinn’s song, “A Gentle Sunlight.”<\/p>\n

    Kotb’s post comes over a week after Nancy, 84, was last seen on the evening of Jan. 31. Authorities believe Savannah’s mother was kidnapped in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 1. In the days since, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and local authorities have continued their search for the missing woman.<\/p>\n

    Kotb has also continued to support both the Guthrie family and her\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0family in Savannah’s absence on the show, stepping in for the NBC morning show and anchoring alongside\u00a0Craig Melvin\u00a0on Monday, Feb. 9. It was also previously revealed that Kotb\u00a0was forgoing her trip to Milan, Italy, to cover the Winter Olympics for NBC \u2014 a trip that both Melvin and Savannah had pulled out of.<\/p>\n

    “You know what, Craig? We always talk about our show as a family. We are a family,\u201d Kotb said on Monday. \u201cI’m part of the family. I’m happy to be with you because we show up for each other.”<\/p>\n

    The\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0co-hosts explained how they’d been moving forward amid the Guthrie family’s public crisis. \u201cHoda\u2019s joining us this morning as our\u00a0Today<\/em>\u00a0family continues to navigate uncharted territory balancing the updates on the search for Savannah\u2019s mom with all the other stories of the day like we normally do but we know things are far from normal right now,\u201d Melvin noted.<\/p>\n

    He added, \u201cSo, folks, we are asking for your grace as we continue to do this.\u201d<\/p>\n

    On Wednesday, Feb. 11, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department told PEOPLE that the investigation “is still operating” on the belief “that Nancy is alive.\u201d Earlier that day, the FBI’s Phoenix office wrote in an\u00a0X\u00a0post that “numerous FBI agents are conducting an extensive search\u00a0along multiple roadways in the Catalina Foothills area related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation.”<\/p>\n

    Nancy was last seen when she was dropped off at her home in Arizona at around at 9:48 p.m. on Jan. 31 after having dinner with her daughter,\u00a0<\/strong>Annie Guthrie,\u00a0and her son-in-law. She was reported missing the following day around 12:03 p.m.<\/p>\n

    Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has since confirmed that\u00a0blood found on the exterior porch\u00a0of Nancy’s home matched her DNA. On Feb. 10, the PCSD and FBI Director Kash Patel posted\u00a0images and videos on X, showing an “armed subject” in connection with the disappearance, wearing gloves and a mask over their face.<\/p>\n

    Savannah, 54, and her two siblings have made several pleas on social media for the potential kidnapper or kidnappers to return their mom. “I just want to say first of all, thank you so much for all of the prayers and the love that we have felt \u2014 my sister, my brother and I. And that our mom has felt,” she said in a video posted on Feb. 9. “Because we believe that somehow, someway, she is feeling these prayers and that God is lifting her in this moment and in this darkest place.”<\/p>\n

    <\/strong>“We believe our mom is still out there,” Savannah continued. “We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock, trying to bring her home, trying to find her. She was taken and we don\u2019t know where. And we need your help.”<\/p>\n
