Arizona officials refused to give many updates on Wednesday morning on the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie\u2019s mother, who is the co-host of NBC\u2019s \u201cToday\u201d show. She went missing from her home over the weekend, and it looks like she was kidnapped.<\/p>\n

NBC\u2019s Tom Winters said, \u201cSomebody always knows something.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of this case is an 84-year-old woman who wanted to spend the rest of her days going to church, spending time with her kids, and grandkids. So now is the time to make that call. That is going to be critical in this case. I\u2019ve never seen a situation where somebody didn\u2019t know something about who was responsible for the crime,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department says that Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen at her home in Tucson on Saturday night around 9:30 p.m. Sheriff Chris Nanos said on Monday that \u201cwe do, in fact, have a crime,\u201d but he didn\u2019t go into detail about what happened to her.<\/p>\n

The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department said in a statement on Wednesday morning that they don\u2019t have a suspect or person of interest, putting an end to \u201cunverified accusations.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this point, investigators have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case. Detectives continue to speak with anyone who may have had contact with Mrs. Guthrie,\u201d Nanos said. \u201cDetectives are working closely with the Guthrie family. While we appreciate the public\u2019s concern, the sharing of unverified accusations or false information is irresponsible and does not assist the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have nothing else to go on but the belief that she is here,\u201d Nanos told the \u201cToday\u201d show. \u201cShe\u2019s present. She\u2019s alive, and we want to save her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nanos told The New York Times that Nancy Guthrie had dinner with her daughter, Annie, and son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, on Saturday night. He also said that Cioni took Nancy Guthrie home after that and made sure she got inside.<\/p>\n

A source told the Associated Press that there were signs that someone had broken into her home.<\/p>\n

Nanos didn\u2019t say much about the search for Nancy Guthrie when he talked to reporters on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the NBC \u201cToday\u201d show reported that law enforcement doesn\u2019t have any solid leads or suspects.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t know where she is,\u201d Nanos said, adding that investigators are starting from the point where Nancy Guthrie was last seen and fanning out from there.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Times also\u00a0reported\u00a0that blood was later found inside Nancy Guthrie\u2019s house. A police source told Fox News Digital that there were \u201cblood drops\u201d leading from the front door outside down the path to the driveway.<\/p>\n

Nanos told reporters on Tuesday that there was still no evidence pointing to a suspect inside the house, even though they had found blood. There were also signs that someone had broken into the house.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not saying there\u2019s blood inside that house or outside that house,\u201d Nanos said while declining to elaborate on what evidence was collected from the home.<\/p>\n
