Marjorie Taylor Greene is exploring her future career options as she considers a campaign for Senate, according to a Friday report.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>She is actively considering a campaign to be the Republican nominee for Senate if popular Gov. Brian Kemp, nearing the end of his second term, decides not to seek the job, The Daily Caller\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2025\/04\/24\/exclusive-marjorie-taylor-greene-believes-she-would-crush-senate-primary-if-kemp-opts-out-sources-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The firebrand representative is said to believe that she would \u201ccrush\u201d the competition in the GOP primary if Kemp is not one of the contenders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreene\u2019s potential candidacy for incumbent Democratic Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff\u2019s seat would put the conservative congresswoman at the center of one of the most closely watched races of 2026. Republicans are laser-focused on defeating Ossoff, whose narrow\u00a0victory\u00a0over former Republican Georgia Sen. David Perdue in a January 2021 runoff election was partly responsible for costing Senate Republicans their majority during the 2020 cycle,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<div id=\"e1c09a52-67a1-44a3-a58e-fc2bf67380c6\" class=\"_ap_apex_ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Republican field is currently frozen, as Kemp has not yet announced his intentions, the Caller added.<\/p>\n<p>The contest is thought to be a tough one for Ossoff, as President Donald Trump won Georgia in the 2024 presidential election by a wide margin.<\/p>\n<p>That is also good news for Greene, as she has close ties with the president, who would likely campaign on her behalf.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>The polls show that she would have a tougher road than Kemp, but they also indicated she would be the only other Republican candidate who could avoid a runoff election.<\/p>\n<p>By Georgia law, if no primary candidate secures 50 percent of the vote, the top two candidates engage in a runoff election to determine the candidate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhoever is in the runoff is beating the hell out of each other and going into debt,\u201d a source said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\">Advertisement<\/p>\n<div id=\"as6078\" data-title=\"You Might Also Like\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>That would give a distinct advantage to Ossoff, who would likely cruise to the nomination unchallenged and be able to bank funds for the general election campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOssoff, a prolific fundraiser, took in an eyebrow-raising $11 million between January and March 2025, the largest haul for an incumbent in the first quarter of an off-year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/04\/07\/jon-ossoff-fundaising-record-georgia-senate-00273961\">according<\/a>\u00a0to Politico. The senator does not currently have any declared Democratic primary opponents and has been\u00a0taunting\u00a0Greene to jump into the race,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<p>The Republican representative confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that she is considering a campaign for Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course I\u2019m considering all possibilities,\u201d she\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/politics\/politically-georgia\/marjorie-taylor-greene-doesnt-rule-out-run-for-governor-or-us-senate\/WO7ZCMVUJVH3FIRRLQ4Z6UFL2E\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cNo decisions have been made, but I would be telling a lie if I didn\u2019t say I wasn\u2019t considering it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That said, Greene offered praise to Kemp in the same interview. \u201cI think Governor Kemp is a really solid candidate,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>One person said they believe Greene could sail to the nomination if Kemp remains on the sidelines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think if she got in tomorrow, she\u2019d raise millions of dollars online in the first week,\u201d a source said. \u201cIf I was one of the other members of Congress that was looking at the race, I would not be fired up about running against her.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-12\">\n<div data-delay=\"4000\" data-block=\"12\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Republican representative has been engaged in recent months\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/conservativebrief.com\/squad-to-90531\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a feud<\/a>\u00a0with Democrat Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who, some believe, threatened her with violence.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with washed-up former CNN host Don Lemon, Crockett appeared to suggest getting physical with Rep.
