Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, the Trump administration\u2019s top civil rights enforcer, is calling out yet another glaring weak spot in America\u2019s election system\u2014this time taking aim at Minnesota\u2019s same-day voter registration \u201cvouching\u201d scheme.<\/p>\n

Dhillon highlighted a post from conservative activist Scott Presler that exposed just how ripe the system is for abuse. Presler\u00a0claimed on X<\/a>\u00a0that one registered voter in the North Star State can sign an oath to vouch for the residency of up to eight others on Election Day\u2014without requiring any photo ID or additional proof:<\/p>\n

\u201cHere\u2019s how it works: Let\u2019s say that Shukran is a registered voter in Minnesota. It\u2019s Election Day & Shukran brings 8 friends (with) him to vote,\u201d Presler explained. \u201cShukran: \u2018My 8 friends that live in our neighborhood don\u2019t have IDs.\u2019 Election Day Worker: \u2018Sign this form to vouch for them.’\u201d<\/p>\n
