Vice President JD Vance, in an interview with NBC News, acknowledged that Americans are understandably frustrated with the economy right now. But he urged voters to give the administration time as they continue unwinding the inflationary mess left behind by former President Joe Biden and his team. And he said exactly what we all would say after \u2018the media\u2019 blamed President Donald Trump for\u00a0Biden\u2019s disasterous inflationary economy<\/i>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the president certainly understands that prices got way too high,\u201d Vance said. \u201cBut I think what the president\u2019s saying is the idea that, 11 months into the administration, that we could solve all of the affordability problems created by Democrats \u2014 I mean, that\u2019s the hoax. The hoax is the idea that it\u2019s our fault and not the Democrats\u2019 fault. And I do think that\u2019s a totally bullsh*t narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the voters will ultimately have to make that choice,\u201d\u00a0Vance continued<\/a>. \u201cI certainly see some of the polling that you\u2019ve seen. But I think that the reason why we have elections every two years and not every year, at least for Congress, thank God, is you\u2019ve got to give a little bit of time for this stuff to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added:<\/p>\n

I think I would certainly say voters are impatient. I think voters have every right to be impatient. We are impatient, too, and we\u2019re going to see if what we do and what we think we have to do converges with what the voters think we should be doing.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll find that out in about a year,\u201d he added. \u201cAnd we\u2019re just going to keep on working as hard as we can until then.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Trump spoke on affordability during a Cabinet meeting, saying that there is a \u201cfake narrative that the Democrats talk about: affordability.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey just say the word,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t mean anything to anybody. I inherited the worst inflation in history. There was no affordability; nobody could afford anything. The prices were massively high.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vance, during his interview, alluded to and backed up the president\u2019s observations: \u201cIf you look at every affordability crisis that\u2019s confronting the American people today, it is traceable directly to a problem caused by Joe Biden and congressional Democrats.\u201d He also hit upon those remarks during a Cabinet meeting this week:<\/p>\n
