Now, a top doctor and professor has made an alarming statement on Donald Trump\u2019s speech, saying that he\u2019s seriously concerned for his health.<\/p>\n
Donald Trump held an address to the nation on Wednesday. Even though many people reacted to Donald Trump\u2019s statements and claims, many of which turned out to be false, other people felt that something wasn\u2019t quite right.<\/p>\n
Trump, who is usually calm, seemed to be shouting into the cameras, speaking directly to the American people. The speech lasted around 20 minutes and concentrated on the economy and immigration, with him criticizing his predecessors in the Oval Office many times.<\/p>\n
Some social media users questioned whether something was wrong with Trump, and so did an expert in the medical field. On X, Jonathan Reiner, cardiologist and professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University, wrote, \u201cI\u2019m seriously concerned about the health of the president.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper on Thursday\u2019s edition of The Lead, Reiner elaborated on his stance that something could be seriously wrong with the president. Additionally, he stated that Trump had a \u201cmaniac cadence\u201d which was \u201cvery disturbing.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, it wasn\u2019t the content. I thought the content was just standard fare that we\u2019ve become accustomed to. But it was the way it was delivered. It was delivered with a manic cadence, almost a frantic cadence. It was as if you felt like you were listening to a podcast on 2x. And that kind of manic delivery was very, very disturbing. Very pressurized speech,\u201d Reiner said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd as the address went on, his cadence of his remarks became quicker. And we\u2019ve never seen the president like that. He seemed almost frantic. And it was disturbing to watch. It was disturbing because he\u2019s the commander-in -chief. He\u2019s not just the head of the government. He\u2019s the commander-in-chief of the greatest armed forces this world has ever seen. And it was disturbing to see him with such an almost uncontrolled cadence.\u201d<\/p>\n
Prior to this, the White House has responded to questions about Donald Trump\u2019s health, including his swollen ankles and bruises on his hands.<\/p>\n
According to Jonathan Reiner, the White House should be \u201cmore forthcoming\u201d about Trump\u2019s conditions, which \u201cno one should be happy to see.\u201d Also, the expert noted that Trump appears to have fallen asleep several times during meetings.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s fallen asleep in a crowded Oval Office. And he\u2019s also fallen asleep at cabinet meetings with people talking directly to him, and that\u2019s what\u2019s called increased daytime somnolence. And there are a lot of things that can do that. Sometimes people with sleep apnea, people who wake up many times during the night and don\u2019t get restorative sleep have that,\u201d Reiner told CNN.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s treated typically with CPAP or CPAP mask. We\u2019ve never been told the president has sleep apnea. So, but it\u2019s jarring to see the president go from basically asleep in the Oval Office to, you know, really this rapid-fire pace during basically a 30 minute speech that he gave in 18 minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n
