{"id":28093,"date":"2025-12-26T05:52:40","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T05:52:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cndailynews.store\/?p=28093"},"modified":"2025-12-26T05:52:40","modified_gmt":"2025-12-26T05:52:40","slug":"dc-grand-jury-refuses-to-indict-woman-charged-with-threatening-trumps-life-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cndailynews.store\/?p=28093","title":{"rendered":"DC Grand Jury Refuses To Indict Woman Charged With Threatening Trump\u2019s Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"image-link\" href=\"https:\/\/madadaily.store\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Snipaste_2025-12-25_09-02-25.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"attachment-hitmag-featured size-hitmag-featured wp-post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/madadaily.store\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Snipaste_2025-12-25_09-02-25-735x400.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"735\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><a class=\"image-link\" href=\"https:\/\/madadaily.store\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2-310-scaled-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"attachment-hitmag-featured size-hitmag-featured wp-post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/madadaily.store\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2-310-scaled-1-735x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"735\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><em><strong>Natalie Rose Jones of Lafayette, Ind., was arrested in Washington, D.C., last month on charges of threatening to kill President Donald Trump and transmitting threats across state lines.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said the case would be pursued, but a federal judge appointed by President Obama and a D.C.-based grand jury declined to move forward.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg\u2014who in July was the subject of a misconduct complaint filed by Attorney General Pam Bondi over alleged improper comments about Trump\u2014overruled a magistrate judge last week and ordered Jones released.<\/p>\n<p>Boasberg directed Jones, who had recently joined an anti-Trump protest outside the White House, to travel to New York City for an appointment with her psychiatrist. Jones\u2019 attorneys revealed in a Monday court filing that a D.C. grand jury declined to indict her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Honorable James E. Boasberg reversed the detention order on August 25, 2025, and released Ms. Jones to home detention,\u201d wrote the attorneys. \u201cOne of the factors the court considered in determining the conditions of release was the nature of the case and the weight of the evidence. A grand jury has now found no probable cause to indict Ms. Jones on the charged offenses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven that finding, the weight of the evidence is weak,\u201d continued the attorneys. \u201cThe government may intend to try again to obtain an indictment, but the evidence has not changed and no indictment is likely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ, in court filings, noted that among the 49-year-old woman\u2019s many alleged threats against the president was a statement on social media indicating a willingness to \u201csacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors claimed that Jones \u2014 who a friend indicated in a character reference had spent some time in the Army Reserve \u2014 also said she \u201cwould take the president\u2019s life and would kill him at \u2018the compound\u2019 if she had to, that she had a \u2018bladed object,\u2019 which she said was the weapon she would use to \u2018carry out her mission of killing\u2019 the president, and that she wanted to \u2018avenge all the lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic,\u2019 which she attributed to President Trump\u2019s administration and its position on vaccinations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>In recent years, others have been charged and indicted for making far less graphic threats against the lives of Democrat presidents, The Blaze\u00a0reported.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Natalie Rose Jones of Lafayette, Ind., was arrested in Washington, D.C., last month on charges of threatening to kill President Donald Trump and transmitting threats across state lines.
