Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, a Democrat running for U.S. Senate in 2026, said in a video posted to social media that she \u201cwould not be able to control\u201d herself if she encountered Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh in public. The undated video was posted Thursday on X by Townhall and shows McMorrow responding to a question about the conservative majority on the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

McMorrow said the court\u2019s composition makes her \u201cfurious,\u201d adding that she was especially upset that Barrett is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, which McMorrow also attended.<\/p>\n

\u201cI talked to somebody yesterday who said they saw her with Brett Kavanaugh at a tailgate last weekend,\u201d McMorrow said in the video. \u201cI was like, \u2018I would not be able to control myself. That would be a bad\u2014 there would be beers thrown in people\u2019s faces.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comments come amid heightened political tensions surrounding the Supreme Court and its conservative majority.<\/p>\n

In recent years, conservative justices have faced sustained criticism from Democratic lawmakers following major rulings, including the court\u2019s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022.<\/p>\n
