First Lady Melania Trump\u2019s longtime makeup artist said she has faced professional backlash in the fashion and modeling industry for continuing to work with the Trump family. Nicole Bryl made the remarks during an appearance this week on the \u201cReturn on Identity\u201d podcast with host Ahmad Ashrafi.<\/p>\n

Bryl said she has worked with Melania and Ivanka Trump for decades but claimed her association with the first lady led to widespread cancellations in the industry, Mediaite\u00a0reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause I was working with Melania, who\u2019s, you know, Donald\u2019s wife, all of a sudden, beauty didn\u2019t become beauty anymore, it became political,\u201d Bryl said. \u201cI didn\u2019t understand why all the doors shut. People totally canceled me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryl said she was pressured by others in the industry to drop the Trump family as clients or remove references to them from her social media. She said some also urged her to publicly denounce the Trumps based on political disagreements.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey wouldn\u2019t talk to me. They wouldn\u2019t take my calls. They stopped sending me products,\u201d Bryl said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLipstick didn\u2019t become lipstick anymore. Products were not just products anymore,\u201d she added. \u201cIt became something more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryl said the experience raised concerns about her financial future but did not change her decision to continue working with the first lady. \u201cThere was pressure of going broke,\u201d Bryl said.<\/p>\n

She said she refused to bow to what she described as intimidation from others in her profession. \u201cNo one\u2019s going to bully me,\u201d Bryl said. \u201cI love my client, and I\u2019m not leaving her side.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s one of the most amazing people I\u2019ve ever known or worked with,\u201d Bryl added. \u201cShe\u2019s been nothing but kind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryl said Melania Trump has also faced bullying and said that played a role in her decision to remain loyal.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe herself has been bullied, and I\u2019m not walking away from that,\u201d Bryl said.<\/p>\n

Melania Trump announced this month that seven Ukrainian children who were abducted during Russia\u2019s invasion have been reunited with their families after what she described as quiet diplomatic efforts with Moscow, per the New York Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dedication to guaranteeing the safe return of children to their families in this region is unwavering,\u201d the Slovenia-born first lady\u00a0said in a statement<\/a>. \u201cI commend the leadership and persistent diplomacy of Russia and Ukraine in the pursuit of the reunification of children and families.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir bridge-building has created a tangible collaborative environment\u2014an anchor for optimism. This cooperation will continue to drive the process forward through the next phase,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Melania, 55, announced on October 10 that an initial group of eight children had been reunited with their relatives after the establishment of an \u201copen channel\u201d with the Kremlin. Since the beginning of Moscow\u2019s invasion in February 2022, thousands of Ukrainian children have been forcibly deported to Russian territory.<\/p>\n

Kyiv authorities report that a minimum of 19,500 children are still missing, while unofficial humanitarian organizations estimate that the actual figure is probably much greater, The Post reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe children who come back are subdued mentally \u2014 they\u2019re broken,\u201d Ukraine first lady Olena Zelenska told the outlet in August. \u201cOnly after they return do they start coming back out of their shells.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week, the first lady revealed the White House\u2019s Christmas decorations and theme, \u201cHome is Where the Heart Is,\u201d to commemorate the holiday season, marking the fifth time she has been able to adorn 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the holidays.<\/p>\n

The first lady\u2019s decorations this year show the American spirit of \u201cgenerosity, patriotism, and gratitude.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year, Trump has decorated the White House with over 25,000 feet of ribbon, over 2,000 strands of light, over 120 pounds of gingerbread, over 2,800 gold stars, over 10,000 blue butterflies, and over 700 feet of garland.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery detail of the 2025 White House Christmas decorations was personally selected by Mrs. Trump to honor the heart of America and the theme \u2018Home Is Where The Heart Is,\u2019\u201d the White House told Fox News.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
