Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a progressive firebrand who announced on Monday that she will run for the U.S. Senate, has had an unpaid lien of more than $3,000 on her luxury condo in Dallas for more than a year.<\/p>\n

A notice of a lien filed on April 11, 2024, and available to the public on the Dallas County Clerk\u2019s website, says that Crockett owes the Westside Condominium Association $3,047.79, according to county records\u00a0Fox News Digital<\/a>\u00a0reviewed.<\/p>\n

The notice said that Crockett \u201cis in default of her duty to pay assessments and has failed and refused and continues to fail and refuse, despite demand upon her, to pay the Association assessments and related charges properly levied against the Property.\u201d<\/p>\n

The lien gives the Westside Condominium Association in Dallas a legal claim on the unit. This means that Crockett can\u2019t sell or transfer the property until the debt is paid.<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital got confirmation from the Dallas County Clerk\u2019s Office on Tuesday night that there is no record of the lien being released. This means that Crockett has not yet paid the overdue amount.<\/p>\n

According to county records, Crockett bought the condo, which is just north of downtown Dallas, in May 2014. At that address, she is registered to vote.<\/p>\n

According to a Homes.com listing for Westside Condominiums, the complex is a gated community that offers residents a \u201crefreshing retreat\u201d and \u201ccomfort and convenience in a secure setting.\u201d The complex is complete with a pool, clubhouse, sleek kitchens and bathrooms \u201cdesigned with spa-like features.\u201d<\/p>\n

The listing says that the HOA fees for the complex range from $222 to $403 and cover all of the amenities, building upkeep, water and sewer service, and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe more we learn about Jasmine Crockett, the more clear it is that she\u2019s the worst possible candidate to run for Senate in Texas,\u201d a longtime Democratic strategist who has worked with campaigns across the country, told Fox News. \u201cRecent weeks have shown she\u2019s just not ready for primetime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crockett\u2019s Federal Election Commission filings, which showed that she spent almost $75,000 of donor money on fancy hotels, transportation, and security this year in cities all over the U.S., raised eyebrows.<\/p>\n

Crockett\u2019s filings show that he spent money on luxury hotels and transportation in major cities like Martha\u2019s Vineyard, Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, even though he represents Texas\u2019 30th Congressional District, which includes Dallas.<\/p>\n

Crockett\u2019s filings show that her campaign has spent $25,748.87 since January on fancy hotels and limo services.<\/p>\n

The Ritz-Carlton and The Luxury Collection cost $4,175.01 and $2,304.79, respectively.<\/p>\n

The West Hollywood Edition in Los Angeles costs $5,326.52, the Times Square Edition in New York City costs $1,173.92.<\/p>\n

The Cosmopolitan and Aria resorts in Las Vegas cost over $2,000.<\/p>\n

The Edgartown Inn and The Coco in Martha\u2019s Vineyard cost $2,703.14 and $3,160.93, respectively.<\/p>\n

In that same time frame, Crockett\u2019s campaign also spent nearly $50,000 on security expenses despite repeatedly calling for defunding the police.<\/p>\n

In 2021, while Crockett was serving in the Texas House of Representatives, she said, \u201cThe Defund movement seeks to actually bring about healing and finally invest in our communities to make them safer, addressing the root causes of crime and by allowing the professionals to do their respective jobs. Defund is about finally being smart on crime. Defund is about lightening the load for our offices of all things they didn\u2019t sign up for. Defund is about finally being fiscally responsible when it comes to policing in this state.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crockett is one of the most well-known and outspoken Democrats, and this year, he has been involved in a number of scandals.<\/p>\n

Notably, she got a lot of criticism for calling Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott \u201cGovernor Hot Wheels\u201d and attacking him.<\/p>\n

Abbott is paraplegic and uses a wheelchair.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
