Liberal comedian Bill Maher torched former Vice President Kamala Harris during his Friday monologue on his HBO program, hitting her hardest over the release of her memoir and claiming she has zero chance to win the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination.<\/p>\n

Harris is currently on tour promoting her tome, \u201c107 Days,\u201d which describes her truncated 2024 presidential campaign, and by many indications, things have not gone well.<\/p>\n

Harris entered the 2024 presidential race with significant advantages, including a campaign fund exceeding $1.5 billion, a large base of reliable Democratic voters, and strong support from mainstream media outlets.<\/p>\n

Despite those factors, Harris ultimately lost every key swing state and failed to win the national popular vote \u2014 the first time a Democratic nominee had done so in more than two decades.<\/p>\n

In her forthcoming book, Vice President Kamala Harris writes that California Governor Gavin Newsom declined to endorse her during the campaign, reportedly responding to her outreach with a brief text saying he was \u201chiking\u201d and then never following up.<\/p>\n

Harris also reflects on her vice-presidential selection process, writing that she believed former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg could have energized the ticket but that the country was \u201cnot ready\u201d for a gay running mate.<\/p>\n

She ultimately chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, whom she describes in the book with mixed feelings.<\/p>\n

Maher torched Harris in his monologue:<\/p>\n

Kamala Harris\u2019s new memoir of the 2024 election is called 107 Days. But it should have been called \u2018Everyone sucks but me.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

107 Days is a victim\u2019s title because get it, she only had 107 days to win. Yeah, and a billion and a half dollars and a built-in army of about 75 million people who\u2019d vote for any human-adjacent life form that wasn\u2019t Trump.<\/em><\/p>\n

But in 107 Days, nothing is ever Kamala\u2019s fault. Biden lets her down by not stepping down sooner. (Pouty face emoji).<\/em><\/p>\n

Gavin Newsom, he was asked for his endorsement, but texted \u2018Hiking. Will call back.\u2019 But then never did. And then he didn\u2019t even ask her to prom.<\/em><\/p>\n

America itself lets Kamala down by not being \u2018ready\u2019 for the running mate she really wanted, Pete Buttigieg. So she stuck with the Home Depot paint salesman [Tim Walz], and the rest is HERstory. Poor Kamala. We made her the star of a rom-com and didn\u2019t even give her a gay best friend.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kamala writes that on election night, when it was clear she lost, an aide peeled the words \u2018Madam President\u2019 off the cupcakes before handing them out. Oh, geez, that\u2019s like a scene from Bridget Jones Runs for President, for Christ\u2019s sake.<\/em><\/p>\n
