Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre decided to dust off Hillary Clinton\u2019s infamous \u201cdeplorables\u201d line in a swipe at her successor, Karoline Leavitt, on Tuesday \u2014 and it backfired spectacularly.<\/p>\n

Leavitt didn\u2019t hesitate to fire back, delivering a blistering response that exposed the arrogance behind Jean-Pierre\u2019s remarks.<\/p>\n

During her media tour promoting her new book Independent, former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre appeared on The View and decided to take a swipe at her successor, Karoline Leavitt. Jean-Pierre took offense at Leavitt\u2019s blunt description of the Democratic Party\u2019s voter base as \u201cmade up of Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s deplorable,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m using that word on purpose. Because they don\u2019t seem to understand\u2014this is the Trump White House\u2014that they don\u2019t work for just one man. They work for the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Says the woman who hid her boss\u2019s declining mental capacity for years and lied to \u201cthe American people\u201d for a living.<\/p>\n

Karine Jean-Pierre couldn\u2019t resist taking another cheap shot \u2014 this time mocking Karoline Leavitt over her now-iconic three-word comeback to a smug Huffington Post reporter who tried to score points by asking who picked the location for the Trump-Putin peace talks.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour Mom did,\u201d the White House press secretary replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe White House press secretary is not about doing online trolling,\u201d\u00a0lectured Jean-Pierre<\/a>\u00a0(who, by the way, is so \u2018ashamed\u2019 of Democrats she claims she\u2019s no longer one). \u201cIt is not. It is an honor and a privilege to have that job and to speak on behalf of the most powerful person in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blah, blah, blah.<\/em><\/p>\n

You\u2019d think Karine Jean-Pierre would\u2019ve learned her lesson by now \u2014 you don\u2019t walk into an intellectual gunfight armed with a Salad Shooter (remember those?). But that\u2019s exactly what she did.<\/p>\n

Leavitt didn\u2019t hold back. In an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters, she absolutely torched her predecessor, calling Karine Jean-Pierre \u201cbitter\u201d and reminding viewers of her long record of dishonesty behind the White House podium. Leavitt accused Jean-Pierre of lying to the American people daily and pointed out that she was one of the key figures behind the cover-up of President Joe Biden\u2019s cognitive decline \u2014 right up to the point when he was quietly replaced by an autopen.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all due respect to my predecessor, she is one of the main culprits of the greatest cover-up and scandals in American history,\u201d Leavitt fired back. \u201cShe took the podium every day and lied to the press about the incompetence of her boss. And on this book tour, she continues to lie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leavitt then dropped the hammer, reminding Karine Jean-Pierre exactly where she stands in today\u2019s political reality \u2014 a \u201cbitter has-been\u201d peddling a book instead of owning up to her role in one of the most scandal-plagued administrations in modern history.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very proud to work for the greatest president in history. I know Karine unfortunately worked for the most incompetent president in history. So I guess she has a reason to be bitter,\u201d Leavitt added. \u201cBut being bitter will not sell your books.\u201d<\/p>\n
