Left-wing radio host Charlamagne tha God admitted on Monday that Democrats are losing the messaging battle over the ongoing Schumer Shutdown.<\/p>\n

\u201cI read a poll this morning that said, you know, a lot of Americans are starting to blame Democrats for the government shutdown,\u201d Charlamagne said to MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on her podcast, \u201cThe Best People.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s just simply because Republicans are better at messaging than Democrats will ever be,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t believe Democrats still haven\u2019t figured out how to message,\u201d Charlamagne continued. \u201cBut right now, at a time when American people are hurting, and they can point directly to the Trump administration to say, earlier in the year, it was DOGE cutting all the federal jobs. Now they are in charge of every branch of government, and it\u2019s the government shutdown and all of y\u2019all are losing jobs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Schumer Shutdown has entered its third week, making it the third-longest government shutdown in U.S. history.<\/p>\n

To date, it has cost American taxpayers more than $8 billion.<\/p>\n

Democrats have refused to negotiate on a temporary funding bill, insisting that expanded Obamacare benefits must be secured before reopening the government.<\/p>\n

Those expanded subsidies would allow states to fund healthcare coverage for illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n

\u201cRepublicans have beat it in people\u2019s head that it\u2019s Democrats\u2019 fault, and Democrats are taking credit for it,\u201d Charlamagne said.<\/p>\n
