Diane Feinstein, who literally remained in office until her dying day despite the fact that her mental capacity had deteriorated to a point where she was thought to be nearly incapacitated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongress and the senate have become senior living facilities,\u201d former Missouri Secretary of State candidate Valentina Gomez\u00a0wrote on X.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThese elders just don\u2019t have enough sense to know when to quit,\u201d wrote another.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, McConnell was seen using a wheelchair after his reported fall, Express US\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFox confirms. Steve Daines (R-MT) and Markwayne Mullin (R-OK),\u201d Fox News congressional correspondent Chad Pergram\u00a0tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>According to his office, McConnell, who had polio as a child, is currently using a wheelchair \u201cpurely as a precautionary measure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSenator McConnell is fine,\u201d a McConnell spokesman said. \u201cThe lingering effects of polio in his left leg will not disrupt his regular schedule of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) told reporters after witnessing the fall: \u201cI think he just slipped on the steps. I was right behind him and helped him get back up, and he walked on his own power to lunch.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-12\">\n<div data-delay=\"4000\" data-block=\"12\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>McConnell was seen leaving the lunch on foot, holding onto an aide\u2019s arm. However, he was later spotted by the press returning to the venue in a wheelchair.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell stepped down as Senate Republican leader earlier this year after experiencing multiple health issues.
