{"id":15794,"date":"2025-10-05T19:51:18","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T19:51:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cndailynews.store\/?p=15794"},"modified":"2025-10-05T19:51:18","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T19:51:18","slug":"georgia-man-arrested-for-threatening-trumps-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cndailynews.store\/?p=15794","title":{"rendered":"Georgia Man Arrested For Threatening Trump\u2019s Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 29-year-old man from Rome, Georgia, was arrested following an alleged social media tirade threatening to kill President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\">\n<div id=\"e1c09a52-67a1-44a3-a58e-fc2bf67380c6\" class=\"_ap_apex_ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The suspect, Jauan Rashun Porter, reportedly joined a TikTok livestream on July 26 discussing the Trump administration\u2019s \u201cAlligator Alcatraz\u201d detention facility for undocumented immigrants, where he allegedly posted a comment threatening the president\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo there\u2019s only one way to make America great and that is putting a bullet in between Trump\u2019s eyes,\u201d Porter posted, according to a Justice Dept.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ndga\/pr\/floyd-county-felon-charged-threatening-assassinate-president-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. The DOJ added that similar remarks were made over several minutes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m gonna kill Donald Trump. I\u2019m gonna put a 7.62 bullet inside his forehead,\u201d Porter allegedly continued. \u201cI\u2019m gonna watch him bleed out and I\u2019m gonna watch him die. I\u2019m gonna do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>Following his remarks, other livestream participants raised the specter of Porter being visited by federal agents, leading him to respond:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m gonna kill them too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the government, Porter\u2019s remarks appeared to be more than just empty threats. According to the DOJ, Secret Service agents, along with local and state police, discovered two pipes, pistol ammunition, and Tannerite\u2014an explosive\u2014during a search of Porter\u2019s apartment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\">Advertisement<\/p>\n<div id=\"as5808\" data-title=\"You Might Also Like\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cPorter has prior convictions for terroristic threats, influencing a witness, mutiny in a penal institution, drug possession, battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and domestic violence. He is currently on probation,\u201d said the Justice Dept. release.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was charged with making threats against the President and is scheduled for a detention hearing on August 12.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe allegations against Porter are serious and required a swift, decisive, and collaborative response,\u201d U.S. Attorney Theodore Hertzberg said in the release. \u201cWe do not tolerate threats against public officials or law enforcement officers, and Porter will now face the consequences of his actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>Porter\u2019s alleged threats come a little more than a year after President Trump, then on the campaign trail in Butler, Pa., was nearly assassinated by a sniper who had managed to get on top of a building a short distance away.<\/p>\n<p>A few minutes into Trump\u2019s speech, he was seen quicky grabbing his ear and ducking behind the podium as several shots rang out. The first bullet knicked Trump\u2019s right ear, while other rounds killed one man, Corey Comperatore and seriously wounded fellow attendees David Dutch and James Copenhaver.<\/p>\n<p>The shooter, Thomas Crooks, was killed by a Secret Service counter-sniper team.<\/p>\n<p>Weeks later, while Trump was golfing at one of his Florida courses, another alleged would-be assassin was found hiding in the bushes armed with a rifle near a green as the former and future president approached.<\/p>\n<p>Secret Service agents fired upon the suspect before fleeing the scene, but was later apprehended by police in Martin County.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, a federal judge\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/conservativebrief.com\/judge-trump-9-93642\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inexplicably allowed<\/a>\u00a0the Justice Department to keep key evidence in the second Trump assassination attempt under wraps, citing potential \u201cexceptionally grave damages\u201d to U.S. national security.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-12\">\n<div data-delay=\"4000\" data-block=\"12\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The order from U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon stems from a DOJ motion to block the release of classified materials in the case of Ryan Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate Trump at his Florida golf course in September 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Routh has not been permitted to view the classified evidence. He wasn\u2019t even allowed to see the DOJ\u2019s motion or attend the secret hearing related to it, according to reports.<\/p>\n<p>Cannon did not elaborate in her ruling, stating only that disclosure of the materials \u201ccould cause serious damage or exceptionally grave damages to the national security of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The classified evidence may be tied to Routh\u2019s 2022 trip to Ukraine, where he attempted to recruit fighters to join the U.S. proxy war against Russia.
