In a single week, Pirro\u2019s office announced multiple convictions and sentences:<\/p>\n

    Robbers sentenced for\u00a0kidnapping and assaulting a woman in her own home<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Three men sentenced for\u00a0fentanyl trafficking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    A marijuana dealer who also possessed a\u00a0machine gun<\/strong>\u00a0sentenced to\u00a027 months in federal prison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    A father found guilty by a jury of\u00a0first-degree child sexual abuse<\/strong>\u00a0involving his 12-year-old child.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Pirro\u2019s team has also been pursuing large-scale drug conspiracies that have plagued D.C. neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

    Major Drug Trafficking Conspiracy Dismantled<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Last week, two D.C. men\u2014Jamiek \u201cOnion\u201d Bassil, 32,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Charles \u201cCheese\u201d Manson, 34<\/strong>\u2014were sentenced to\u00a0135 months<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0175 months<\/strong>\u00a0in federal prison, respectively. Prosecutors say they were central figures in a fentanyl and crack cocaine distribution network tied to the\u00a0\u201c21st and Vietnam\u201d crew<\/strong>, which controlled an open-air drug market in Northeast D.C.<\/p>\n

    According to court documents, the group\u2019s operations centered around the\u00a02100 block of Maryland Avenue, NE<\/strong>, where they sold narcotics daily.<\/p>\n

      Bassil<\/strong>\u00a0pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute\u00a0400 grams or more of fentanyl<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Manson<\/strong>\u00a0pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute\u00a040 grams or more of fentanyl<\/strong>, possession of a handgun in furtherance of drug trafficking, and\u00a0assault with a dangerous weapon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Tied to a 2024 Shooting<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      The case also revealed that Manson was involved in a\u00a0March 7, 2024 shooting<\/strong>\u00a0in the 1900 block of I Street, NE\u2014just steps from his home. Witnesses say Manson approached a dog walker while wearing a ski mask and carrying a revolver, then\u00a0opened fire<\/strong>, narrowly missing both the person and the dog. He was arrested eight days later.<\/p>\n

      Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute between members of the crew and the dog\u2019s owner.<\/p>\n

      Pirro\u2019s Pledge to \u201cClean Up D.C.\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Since taking office, Pirro has vowed to\u00a0target repeat offenders, dismantle drug networks, and push for tougher sentences<\/strong>\u00a0on violent criminals.<\/p>\n
