ABC News<\/a>, multiple senior federal prosecutors across the country have received instructions to prepare investigations into the Open Society Foundations, the philanthropic organization funded by billionaire Democratic donor George Soros, according to sources who spoke with ABC News.<\/p>\nThe directive, issued Monday by Aakash Singh, a senior official in the office of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, was sent to U.S. attorney\u2019s offices in at least seven states, including California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, and Maryland, sources said.<\/p>\n
According to the letter, prosecutors were advised to consider potential charges that could include material support to terrorism, arson, wire fraud, and racketeering. As for the Justice Department, it didn\u2019t deny the reports, but officials did not come right out and confirm them, either.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis DOJ, along with our hard-working and dedicated U.S. Attorneys, will always prioritize public safety and investigate organizations that conspire to commit acts of violence or other federal violations of law,\u201d a spokesperson for the Justice Department told ABC News.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s be honest: the line between \u201cDemocrats\u201d and \u201cpeople who cheer on political violence\u201d has just about vanished. These days, the overlap is so big you\u2019d need a microscope to spot any difference.<\/p>\n
Top Democrats are out there tossing around words like \u201cGestapo\u201d to smear ICE agents, calling President Trump a \u201ctyrant,\u201d a \u201cdictator,\u201d even a \u201cNazi.\u201d They know exactly what they\u2019re doing \u2014 whipping up hatred, stoking anger, and nudging their base closer and closer to violence.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s the kicker: if you cut a check to a Democrat candidate today, odds are you\u2019re funding somebody who\u2019s either openly justifying political violence or winking at those who do. That\u2019s not \u201cprogressive.\u201d That\u2019s reckless, dangerous, and flat-out un-American.<\/p>\n
Soros and his web of orgs have been funding groups that have, in turn, been engaging in this reckless, dangerous \u2013 and potentially illegal \u2013 behavior. It\u2019s about time we had a president who looked into him.<\/p>\n
