Monday, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino expressed his conviction that Tyler Robinson, the accused murderer of Charlie Kirk, may have been \u201caided and abetted\u201d by a \u201cextended network.\u201d Bongino cited \u201cmultiple warning signs\u201d that Robinson allegedly exhibited prior to the assassination.<\/p>\n
The Post on Sunday reported that investigators are currently investigating whether pro-trans online groups, members of the sexualized animal-themed \u201cfurry\u201d community, and other associates of Robinson had prior knowledge of his intentions.<\/p>\n
Those groups include the gaming platform Steam and Armed Queers SLC, which removed its Instagram account in the wake of Kirk\u2019s murder.<\/p>\n
Bongino has now stated that federal investigators are broadening their investigation to determine whether other individuals in the throng, such as the TikTok user who was questioning Kirk at the time of the shooting, may have been aware of the attack in advance.<\/p>\n
Agents are investigating whether the tragic murder of Kirk, a 31-year-old conservative icon, married father of two, and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was \u201cpart of a larger effort\u201d that may have involved other individuals who were providing financial assistance or \u201csomeone who knew the specifics of it and failed to report that,\u201d Bongino informed Bill Hemmer of Fox News\u2019 \u201cAmerica\u2019s Newsroom.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will also be distributing a significant amount of paper and subpoenas to investigate whether there is an extended network,\u201d Bongino stated, as reported by the New York Post.<\/p>\n
Kirk was mortally struck in the neck by a single bullet during an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon. Tyler Robinson, the suspect, was apprehended 33 hours later. His live-in partner is transgender.<\/p>\n
Deputy Director Dan Bongino of the FBI responded, \u201cWe are investigating that,\u201d when asked whether the timing of the gunfire, which occurred as Kirk was answering a question about mass shootings involving transgender individuals, was significant.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do not wish to make a definitive statement at this time regarding the existence of a connection,\u201d Bongino continued. \u201cIt is not uncommon for Kirk to receive inquiries as such.\u201d Nevertheless, we are investigating that matter.<\/p>\n
Hemmer inquired about a conversation between Robinson and a relative at a recent family gathering, during which they both conveyed their shared disdain for Kirk. The FBI\u2019s second-ranking official was consulted.<\/p>\n
Bongino asserted that Robinson\u2019s emotional instability was indicated by numerous indicators. \u201cYou have merely arranged a portion of them.\u201d There were individuals in his network, including acquaintances and family, who had reported that he had become more political.<\/p>\n
The manner and timing of Robinson\u2019s radicalization remain uncertain. Inscriptions on unspent cartridge casings from the firearm used in Kirk\u2019s murder were discovered by investigators, which indicated pro-trans and anti-fascist affiliations.<\/p>\n
Authorities have been informed by a relative of Robinson\u2019s roommate, who is cooperating with investigators and has not been accused of any misconduct. The relative believes that Robinson\u2019s political views may have been influenced by the relationship.<\/p>\n

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said Friday that Tyler Robinson had been \u201cdeeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,\u201d though he was not registered with any political party. Additionally, authorities have stated that Robinson harbored animosity toward Charlie Kirk and his \u201copinions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Robinson resides with a partner who is in the process of transitioning from male to female, as reported by The Post.
