{"id":14567,"date":"2025-09-25T18:04:43","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T18:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cndailynews.store\/?p=14567"},"modified":"2025-09-25T18:04:43","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T18:04:43","slug":"erika-genuinely-rattled-by-liberal-outlets-witch-stunt-before-charlies-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cndailynews.store\/?p=14567","title":{"rendered":"Erika \u2018Genuinely Rattled\u2019 By Liberal Outlet\u2019s Witch Stunt Before Charlie\u2019s Death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was \u201cgenuinely rattled\u201d after the left-wing feminist site Jezebel published a story in which the author claimed to have paid witches on Etsy to place a curse on her husband just two days before his assassination.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-1\"><\/div>\n<p>Top-rated SiriusXM podcaster Megyn Kelly criticized the outlet for running what she described as a \u201cvile\u201d piece, saying it left the Kirks disturbed and seeking prayer from a Catholic priest the night before Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in Utah on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what I want you all, and the people at Jezebel and Etsy, to know,\u201d Kelly began during a segment on her Wednesday show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cErika and Charlie Kirk heard about these curses and that news genuinely rattled Erika, in particular. She knew Christian teaching on the subject, she loved Charlie, absolutely, and she was scared when she heard of the curses Jezebel had culled up,\u201d Kelly continued.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>A Sept. 8 Jezebel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jezebel.com\/we-paid-some-etsy-witches-to-curse-charlie-kirk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article<\/a>\u00a0described Charlie Kirk, 31, as a \u201cfar-right misogynist,\u201d with the unnamed author writing that she paid witches through an online marketplace to cast \u201cmultiple curses\u201d against him for what she called his \u201cyears of regressive rhetoric.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Two days later, Tyler Robinson, 22, allegedly shot Charlie Kirk in the neck, killing him as he addressed thousands at Utah Valley University in Orem during the opening stop of his American Comeback Tour.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\">Advertisement<\/p>\n<div id=\"as5808\" data-title=\"You Might Also Like\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWhy torture a family like this, a Christian believing family?\u201d Kelly asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy do this vile thing to a young couple, parents to two babies living in accordance with the gospel, deeply in love, and yes, political, but doing nothing other than speaking publicly about their views and their desires to make other people\u2019s lives better,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho would do such a vile thing? Jezebel, that\u2019s who, and unbelievably, Etsy. And the people behind this evil should be called out,\u201d she said, per the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/23\/us-news\/erika-kirk-genuinely-rattled-after-jezebel-paid-witches-on-etsy-to-curse-husband-charlie-2-days-before-he-was-assassinated\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-10\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>The publication later appended an editor\u2019s note to the article condemning the killing of Charlie Kirk, a close ally of President Trump, but has since taken the piece down from its website.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly called for Jezebel to shut down and for the reporter behind the article to be identified. She also urged Etsy to bar the sale of curses on its platform and go back to \u201carts and crafts and jewelry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth entities should issue an immediate full-throated apology to Erika Kirk for introducing this awfulness into her beautiful family and causing her or Charlie any distress whatsoever in what would be the waning hours of his life,\u201d Kelly fumed.<\/p>\n<p>Erika shared haunting new details of his final moments, the warnings they discussed before his death, and the devastating call that confirmed her worst fears, the New York Times\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/09\/21\/us\/politics\/erika-kirk.html?fbclid=IwRlRTSAM-tHJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHiKa22_1mdEbejp6TZ5VWYE4DovVW8ps4C6vb9jAVOyfhnH8BoZjOOSff5GH_aem_tTKnhfg4PCijHds1XgYZDQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In an emotional interview with The Times, Erika said law enforcement urged her not to view her husband\u2019s body because of the damage caused by the bullet. She refused.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith all due respect, I want to see what they did to my husband,\u201d she told them.<\/p>\n<p>At the hospital, she leaned over his body for a final goodbye. She kissed him one last time, noting his \u201csemi-open eyes\u201d and \u201cMona Lisa-like half-smile.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-12\">\n<div data-delay=\"4000\" data-block=\"12\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"e1c09a52-67a1-44a3-a58e-fc2bf67380c6\" class=\"_ap_apex_ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019d died happy,\u201d she said. \u201cLike Jesus rescued him. The bullet came, he blinked, and he was in heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since that day, Erika admitted she has not been able to sleep in the couple\u2019s bedroom. Instead, she moves from place to place each night, clinging to any reminders of him. She refuses to wash the towels Charlie used in his final shower.<\/p>\n<p>The night before his trip, the couple had dinner with a faith leader to pray over Charlie\u2019s upcoming 20-campus tour. Erika and their friend raised concerns about his safety, especially as death threats had become more frequent over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Erika urged him to wear a bulletproof vest. Their friend suggested he deliver speeches behind bulletproof glass.
